Meet Our Elders
"I am a family man, married for 45 years, and have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. I enjoy my time with family and my church family. Enjoy the outdoors and teaching a small group at church called the elderberries. When not outdoors hunting or fishing I find that here at Columbia Christian Church is my fondest place to be. Serving Jesus Christ is paramount in my life as well as my families. Here at Columbia Christian Church we are family and welcome all to come visit us and find out why we are so loving."
"Having been raised in a family that always attended church, I grew up knowing that God and church were important. It wasn’t until I finally made a commitment to be baptized in 1985 that I began to want to be in the church. Being a part of a loving church family continues to teach me how much God loves us and desires a personal relationship with each one of us. Being active with my wife and family of 5 children and 7 grandchildren keeps us busy and active. My goals are to seek to know the Lord, serve Him in all things and share how God has blessed my life. As our vision statement says: Love, Grow and Share."
"Donna and I were married in 1980 and have been blessed with three kids, Ric, Jamie and Wesley. 6 grandkids Trenton, Cody, Roman, Cedric Pyper, and Oliver. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ cleverly disguised as a carpenter I’ve been working as a union carpenter since 1992. I am involved in a Sunday school class and a weekly life group. I like to play golf on occasion but am a self-proclaimed excerpt at Wii golf. I also enjoy relaxing and watching movies with Donna or just hanging around the house. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior in 1986 and never looked back, my life has truly been changed. I know that there is a God and He wants us to know about this Son Jesus. We started coming to Columbia Christian Church in 2003 when a friend invited us, the first day we came, we knew it was our home. I consider it an honor and great privilege to serve as an elder here at Columbia Christian Church. My goal is to grow more in love with God every day."
"My wife Debbie and I both grew up in Eastern Washington. After marrying, 38 years ago, we moved to Alaska for three years and then back to Pullman, WA so I could complete a masters degree in Agronomy and Economics. After that we moved to Battle Ground and I started a career in Sales-Management with a national cordage and packaging company. I plan to retire the end of 2017. My life and passions have always revolved around Faith, family, and friends. God has blessed me so overwhelmingly in all three areas and for that I daily and eternally praise God through His son Jesus."
